Moms of Tech Roundtable

Location: Britton Marketing & Design Group 6112 Constitution Drive Fort Wayne, IN 46804
Hosted by: Fort Wayne Tech
Target Audience: General Public, Women in Tech, Career Changers, Tech Enthusiasts, Students, and Allies

Motherhood and technology might seem like two different worlds — but we know they have a lot in common. Both demand problem-solving, quick pivots, and juggling more tabs than your browser can handle. This Moms of Tech Roundtable is your chance to swap stories, share hard-earned wisdom, and talk about the real side of being a mom in a male-heavy industry. We’ll explore topics like:
- Being a mom in tech — the perks and the challenges
- How tech brains handle motherhood (and how mom brains handle tech) - How employers can make stereotypically male-centric fields more mom-friendly - Navigating career pivots or re-entry after parental leave
- Guilt and perfectionism — and letting go of unrealistic standards - Building and protecting your mental bandwidth
- Policies that would actually make a difference for working moms
- How to mentor the next generation of moms in tech
- The role of allies and company culture in long-term change
- This isn’t a lecture — it’s a conversation.

Expect laughs, aha moments, and maybe a “me too” or two. Special thanks to Britton Marketing & Design Group for generously sponsoring Indiana Women IN Tech Week and hosting this event.
