Indiana Women IN Tech Week Returns September 13-20, Celebrating Women Shaping the Future of Technology

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indiana Women IN Tech Week returns September 13-20, 2026, bringing together women, students, technology professionals, employers, educators and industry leaders for a week of events focused on career opportunities, mentorship, innovation and the growing role of women in Indiana’s technology workforce.
The annual week-long initiative is designed to highlight the women already making an impact in technology while creating opportunities for more women and girls to explore careers in the industry, connect with professionals and learn about pathways into technology.
Western Governors University (WGU) is now spearheading the 2026 Indiana Women IN Tech Week, helping advance conversations around education, workforce development and access to technology careers.
“Indiana has an incredible opportunity to build on the momentum of its growing technology sector, but meeting the workforce needs of the future will require us to inspire and recruit talent from every part of our communities,” said WGU Regional Vice President Alison Bell.
“That includes creating greater pathways for women to lead, innovate and thrive in technology. We’re proud to once again contribute to this celebration and broaden its reach across Indiana’s corporate, education and entrepreneurial communities. Indy Women in Tech Week connects, inspires and supports women at every stage of their journey while helping build the skilled, dynamic workforce Indiana’s technology sector needs to grow.”
The 2026 schedule features programming spanning artificial intelligence, career development, mentorship, technology and social impact, hiring trends and aviation technology.

An Artful AI Experience — Monday, September 14 at draft creative space, offering an interactive look at artificial intelligence and its growing influence across industries. Hosted by Brooksource.
Fueling Your Future: Confidence, Courage, & Connection — Tuesday, September 15 at Infosys, 6100 Sam Jones Expy, Indianapolis, IN 46241. This immersive leadership and workforce development experience will help participants strengthen confidence, courage and connection through practical learning, meaningful conversations and intentional networking. Co-hosted by Attard Leadership Academy and Fetch Happiness.
Tech for Impact: Women Shaping Solutions Through Technology — Tuesday, September 15 at draft creative space, highlighting women using technology to address real-world challenges and create meaningful impact. Hosted by EMBOSS.
Speed Mentoring — Wednesday, September 16 at Tinker House, connecting participants with technology professionals for focused career conversations and mentorship. Hosted by GadellNet Consulting Services.
Women on the Rise: Tech Careers, Hiring Trends & What’s Next — Thursday, September 17 at VisionLoft, exploring technology career opportunities, current hiring trends and what’s next for the industry. Hosted by Western Governors University (WGU).
Girls In Aviation Day – Indy — Saturday, September 19 at the Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center, introducing girls to aviation technology and related career opportunities. Hosted by Women In Aviation International- Hoosier Heartland Chapter.
With opportunities ranging from hands-on experiences and mentorship to conversations about hiring trends and emerging technologies, Indiana Women IN Tech Week gives participants multiple ways to engage with the technology industry.
The week also serves as an opportunity for employers and industry leaders to play a role in shaping Indiana’s future workforce by connecting with women and girls who are considering technology careers or looking to advance within the field.
